The Story

The mission of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Student Academic Success Center (SASC) is to provide a holistic approach to student development, learning, and persistence towards academic and personal goal attainment. NINE dot ARTS, working in tandem with an art committee of faculty and students from the Art and Industrial Design Departments, curated an art collection featuring work only from Metro State students, faculty, and alumni. The artworks in the collection creatively interpret the concept of community through materials, content, or style and foster an environment dedicated to learning and critical thinking. Functional pieces such as shades and benches in addition to interactive works playfully encourage student engagement. The collection stands as a testament to Metro State’s rich and diverse commitment to excellence in the arts.

Our ability to create authentic experiences for our guests is a key differentiator against our competition, and the art program that NINE dot ARTS created is a prime example. Much of the art comes from current Boston University (BU) students and alumni, which really connects with our guests. As a result, we continue to grow our share of business from BU.”
