The Story

When Navona Investors LLC took on this 6.8-acre urban renewal project in Aurora, Colorado, they knew art and culture would be vital to its success. Our team worked closely with the developers, designers, and architects (Navona Investors LLC, Gensler, Norris Design, and KTGY) to develop a robust community art plan for Metro Center that would activate the mixed-use, transit-oriented site with urban energy and unexpected experiences. The final plan leverages art, architecture, design, and other disciplines to create connections among retail on the west, neighborhood service on the east, civic facilities on the north, and residences on the south. With this plan as its foundation, Metro Center is growing into an active, arts-infused neighborhood known for civic engagement, social cohesion, and economic prosperity – combining urban benefits with suburban living.

Our team is currently working with hospitality, multifamily, and corporate office developers who are building within the site to curate their property’s art collection in alignment with the art goals established in the site’s plan. Stay tuned for updates on these exciting projects!

Our ability to create authentic experiences for our guests is a key differentiator against our competition, and the art program that NINE dot ARTS created is a prime example. Much of the art comes from current Boston University (BU) students and alumni, which really connects with our guests. As a result, we continue to grow our share of business from BU.”
