The Story

Sometimes it’s difficult to create a sense of energy in an art collection. Sometimes it’s part of the brand and just comes naturally. Inspired by FourPoint Energy’s energy exploration and entrepreneurial spirit, NINE dot ARTS worked closely with the company’s CEO and their top geologist to commission site-specific works by artists who investigate the relationship between art and science. For example, a four-hundred-pound hand-forged steel and bronze sculpture depicting the compression of tectonic plates hangs off a wall in the main lobby, a cut and painted aluminum sculpture showing geologic history and processes shines in the stairwell, and a series of bronze sculptures portrays business negotiations in the boardroom. On the history wall, a drill pipeline symbolizes a horizontal account of time as company milestones and projects are shown along with construction helmets and state flags. The resulting collection captures FourPoint Energy’s character and culture through a wide variety of artistic mediums including oil paintings, photographs, works on paper and sculptures from predominantly Colorado-based artists.
Action. Progress. Energy. They all come to life in the art experience at FourPoint Energy.
